The Linkiny server runs as a single Go binary. No Postgres, no Redis, no message queue. Just SQLite in WAL mode under the hood.

Minimum

• OS: Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Arch, Alpine) or macOS 13+
• CPU: 1 vCPU
• RAM: 512 MB
• Disk: 1 GB (binary plus starter DB; grows with files and media)
• Network: public IPv4, ports 80 and 443 reachable
• Domain: one you control, with DNS A (and AAAA if IPv6) plus a wildcard name.yourdomain.com pointing to the VPS

Recommended for a family or small team (up to ~50 daily users)

• 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD, 1 Gbps NIC

Recommended for a community or business (100–1000 daily users)

• 4 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 100 GB SSD
• Dedicated TURN server for group calls

Good to know

• TLS certificates: Let’s Encrypt is automated on first boot via the HTTP-01 challenge on port 80.
• Backups: a point-in-time snapshot of ./data is enough. No dump needed.
• Federation: outbound to other nodes on port 443. No extra inbound firewall rules beyond 80 and 443.
• Upgrades: stop the binary, replace the file, start. Under 5 seconds of downtime per release.

• Spin up a VPS for a customer, point their domain, run our installer
• Hand over admin credentials; keep a support line for updates
• Optionally offer managed plans: backups, monitoring, mail relay, TURN

• One-command install script with auto-TLS (Let’s Encrypt)

1. Your name, company (if any), country, website
2. Rough estimate of customers / deployments you can support
3. Your technical background (DevOps, sysadmin, app developer, etc.)

We onboard partners weekly. Expect a reply within two business days.

Self-hosting

We don’t sell servers or hosting directly. Linkiny is distributed through certified partners who provision the server, install Linkiny, point your domain, and hand you the keys.

You keep full ownership: your VPS, your domain, your data, your billing.

A partner typically covers:

• VPS provisioning (any reputable provider — Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, your own datacenter)
• DNS + wildcard TLS setup (Let’s Encrypt auto-renew is built in)
• First-run wizard + node health check
• Optional ongoing monitoring / backups
